* Margaret Annie George's surname is written rather small and could possibly be "Margaret Annie Cory".
** Annie Davis's entry has an annotation in right hand margin which is probably "unbaptised".
*** In the last column of the Registry which reads "By whom the Ceremony was performed" the signature of the Rector of Brington, who has been signing for the previous 9 years, is followed by the phrase "Vicar of St.Mary Magdelene, St. Pancras". His handwriting has become increasingly shaky and prone to a few mistakes - unlike his Curate, Arthur E.Kinch, who first signed the Register in 1873 and to this point now underlines his signature very boldly!
*** Adelaide Horatia Elizabeth, Dowager Countess Spencer was the 2nd wife of Frederick, 4th Earl Spencer, K.G., who had died in 1857. She was laid to rest on the 3rd November 1877 in the Spencer Family vault in St. Mary's, Great Brington. In the column of the Burial Register "By whom the Ceremony was performed" there are seven lines of handwriting, which are impossible to decipher.
